How to deal with constant headaches?
My boyfriend has been experiencing persistent headaches for the past week. He will have a minor dull headache, then it will get worse and turn into a migraine. They have been really on and off, and nothing seems to help. We went to the emergency room the other night, they seemed to think he did not have anything majorly wrong with him, because he did not show any other symptoms, except for a constant headache. They gave him a shot and sent him home. The headache subsided that night, but came back the next day. He has tried taking prescription medicine, tylenol, Ibuprofen, and Excedrin- but nothing helps. He is going to see his doctor next week, but we can not seem to think of any solutions to help his headache in the mean time.. Medication, fresh air, a cold towel over his head, eating, drinking water and caffeine do not help. Anyone who has dealt with his problem, or who knows how to get rid of it or help it, let me know. Thanks!

Sorry to hear about your boyfrieds pain. I want you to know that I literally feel his pain. I began with persistant headaches at the end of 2011 and was hospitalized a total of 6 times from december of 2011 through June of 2012. I had every test imaginable and nothing gave an answer as to what the problem is.
I would suggest that he find a neurologist that specializes in headaches. I dont know where you are from but there are several headache doctors in Baltimore, MD both at the University of MD and Johns Hopkins. I currently see Dr. Jack Gladstien at the University of MD.
if he has not had a CT with and without contast, or and MRI then I would strongly suggest that either you or he insists on having one done.
I am currently on 3 different prevenative medications as well as 2 different abortive medications. I was finally diagnosed with New Daily Persistant Headache in May of 2012. Look this up.
Best of luck and I hope that he finds some relief soon.

Oh no! I'm so sorry you poor thing!! That is so sad. You did everything you could and I'm sure you gave her a good life all her life. It was probably something genetic and couldn't have been prevented. Try to see if you parents could as your teacher to let you do the exam on another date. Otherwise, if she won't, all you can do is do your best.
