Agreed. The only "extremist" for any political or religious group is an individual who feels compelled to convey their message violently and intolerantly towards others.

What do you mean 'agree with it'? He is being ironic, he is saying he is not really as bad as a fundamentalist extremist because they do things like that while he wouldn't.

It's an appropriate response to claims that he is bad as any fundamentalist extremist, because it demonstrates very clearly both that he is not, and why.

Dawkins might not, but the EDL would. Dawkins might not, but Pol Pot did. Evil is turning away from God, whether it's the twisted logic of so-called religious fundamentalists or the simple bigotry of hate. Dawkins has turned many people from God to hate. He might not consider himself as bad as the perpetrators of the attack in Woolwich, but he's as bad as the evil men who inspired them.
