Want to lose weight, but classed as being underweight.?
Hi, I am quite chubby and want to lose the weight. I've joined a gym (I do Zumba and Body Combat classes) and am being careful to cut down on sugary foods. When I weigh myself I tend to be 54.9 lbs. I'm quite short, my height is 4ft 11inches, and I am female.
I checked on-line and apparently I'm underweight?! I know online sources cannot be trusted so I went on a few more trusty sites like Weight watchers and the NHS, but they all say I'm under.
How is this possible? I'm a UK size 12-14, I'm not thin at all. How can I be catergorised as underweight when I am clearly slightly over-weight?
What can I do, is it safe if I continue to diet and exercise anyway?
1 AnswerDiet & Fitness7 years agoShould Maria Miller stand down as MP?
I know she stood down from her position, but she is still an MP and still only has to pay a small proportion of the tax money she stole.
She has Cameron's support and will most likely get a new cushy job at a later point anyway, so should she step down as MP?
Should she face criminal charges?
Should she pay back the full amount?
What is your opinion on any of these suggestions?
5 AnswersGovernment7 years ago2015 UK elections- who to vote for?
Is anyone else struggling for who to vote for in 2015?
I feel like the three major parties are all the same: rich Etonian schoolboys who only want to take advantage of us and get rich. Labour and Conservative are very corrupt parties and they seem to treat the whole thing as a joke (i.e. Boris Johnson, some people find him funny, but with the country falling apart and people going without food or heating, I don't want to see a politician acting like a Big Brother contestant.)
Liberal Democrats aren't even worth talking about.
A lot of people are keen on UKIP, but I'm the child of immigrants (dad is from the Republic of Ireland originally, maternal grandfather was from the Caribbean) and pro-gay marriage, so I feel that they do not represent me.
Then there's the parties like the Green party, but I think that would be a wasted vote as they aren't going to get into power.
Anyone else as lost as me? Who are you voting for and why?

Both are UK school-based comedies, which one is the best and why?
1 AnswerComedy8 years agowhat is the correct grammar for the saying 'past/passed all that'?
How do you write the phrase 'we are passed all that' ?
Is it the word 'past' or the word 'passed'?
If you could explain the rule as well that'd be fabulous!
7 AnswersWords & Wordplay8 years agoWhat comedy shows do you recommend?
I like stuff like:
The New Normal
Futurama
Sherlock (I know it isn't a comedy as such but I like the humour in it)
30 rock
Death in Paradise
I like comedies that aren't too cynical. I'm ok with stuff like Family Guy, South Park etc but I'm not that interested in it because I don't find the mean spiritedness that amusing.
I do not like comedies like How I met your mother, Friends or The Big Bang.
I like comedies that focus on wit, irony or are a bit clever (i.e. Fraiser, The Critic or Seinfeld.) If not, then I like feel good tv comedies, like The New Normal.
If you can recommend any I might like, I'd be very grateful :)
2 AnswersComedy8 years agoWhat drama shows do you recommend?
I like shows like
The Borgias
Teen Wolf (guilty pleasure)
American Horror Story
The New Normal
Sherlock
Wire in the Blood
I like drama that has a full and interesting storyline. I stopped watching shows like Glee and True Blood because I felt like the story lines were too stupid or the characters were inconsistent. I don't like teen melodrama's involving vampires and stuff. I do like historical, dramatic shows or mystery shows- however I finished Lost and was not that impressed and the fans on Game Of Thrones annoyed me too much.
Does anyone know of any drama (or any show in fact) that I might like? I know I'm quite specific, but I'd appreciate your suggestions! :)
5 AnswersDrama8 years agoWhy was my question reported and deleted?
The question was "Do you agree with this Sikh ex-British Army officer who says the Woolwich attacks are political and religious?"
Are people offended by the opinion of sikhs, or ex-army officers?
I don't understand why my question was deleted. I didn't swear or put up any hate. So why did someone or some people here report it?
14 AnswersCurrent Events8 years agoDo you agree with this Sikh ex-British Army officer who says the Woolwich attacks are political and religious?
He does not say Islam is to blame.
But he argues that politicians and others in the media keep claiming that the attacks are nothing to do with Islam or events happening around the world.
He argues that we need to stop pretending this is the case, and accept that the war on Iraq has caused a lot of resentment and anger (not enough to justify the attacks) and that if we want to stop terrorism we need to be more up-front about issues of religion and politics even though they are hard topics.
Do you agree or disagree?
Why?
the link to the video is below, I suggest you watch it (I only quickly summarised). The video is a little over 5 mins long.

Have they been informative?
Have they been manipulative?
Have they helped spread fear/hate?
Have they encouraged unity?
What do you think of how papers have reacted and reported the murder in Woolwich?
7 AnswersCurrent Events8 years agoDo you agree with Dawkins' tweet about atheism and extremist fundamentalism?

His tweet was:
"Yes I'm just as bad as any fundamentalist extremist. Excuse me while I throw acid in a girl's face and cut off someone's head with a machete"
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoIs Islamic extremism taking over UK cities? Is multiculturalism failing?
In this video a young woman returns to her town of Luton, where there are protesters chanting slogans such as 'UK burn in hell' and 'British police burn in hell.'
Apparently a Muslim woman had been arrested (sparking the protest.) The young woman says that she thinks it is a minority group and says that the Quran says muslims should respect the law of the land, but she is treated (imo) very rudely.
Is Islamic extremism infiltrating the UK as suggested by the video title?
Is multi-multiculturalism failing?
I am mixed race, and I love how everyone can mix nowadays, but I know many people hate it and would rather us all all separate and for people of my skin tone not live in the UK. What are your thoughts, and why?
Thanks.
