So worried abou my cousin.. Help?

My cousin (25) is in the hospital on life support because of overdosing on drugs and is not showing any signs of life, and they might pull the life support today if he doesn't respond to any if the tests. I'm so worried. How long will it take them to decide to pull the plug if they've only been on life support for 1 day?

I'm afraid it depends on what happened, what drugs he took, any signs or progress he has or hasn't made, what tests they decide to do, and most importantly what his family, usually parents, want.

They will likely do further investigations. If these come back negative then the doctors may say that in their medical opinion, they think he is very unlikely to recover. What happens then will be up to his parents in terms of switching off the life support.
