Good free diary software?

Question

I've used efficient diary before and it worked perfectly, but I have a new laptop now and when I try to download it, it just switches to the pro version immediately. I want one that stays free, not expires after a month or so. I also reallyyy don't want the risk that it could end up online. Thank you!

All you have to do is type "free diary software" into any search engine. Here's one I found. It has a freeware version as well as version you can buy:

Give Smart Diary a try - it's available from http://www.sdiary.com and there are three paid editions and one free one as well. The paid editions have a free trial period too.
