Price of new heads for a small block dodge?

Okay so I found some heads that a guy is selling off of a 340 mopar small block. They are rebuilt U heads with 2.02 exhaust and 1.60 intake and hardened seats. It also comes with the original intake manifold and an oil filter relocation kit. Also going from the casting numbers it is a six pack intake manifold. Could be wrong about that though. The guy was originally asking 600, I got him down to 400, is that too high? Or fairly reasonable?

A set of new Edelbrock heads will run you North of a grand. If these heads were "rebuilt" and done well, give him the $400 and get them.

i do no longer comprehend what a 383 stroker could be till you're speaking small block Chevrolet. the three-3/8" stroke on a Mopar 383 can't get replaced by potential of the three-3/4" crank without considerable value for custom pistons and rods and bearings. then you definately could in basic terms have a low deck 426. you should do a similar with a 4 hundred Mopar and characteristic a 452. or you should purely circulate with a inventory 440 at drastically much less value. i think of it fairly is the way you should circulate because of the fact the engine would be lots greater much less costly than something of the automobile.

If its a six pack intake, you need to multiply that price by 7 or 8. No way you cold get heads and intake for 4 bills
