Marine to Police Officer?
Im a smart kid, 3.5 gpa in all honors classes, on my state all star team in high school hockey and lacrosse and in shape. I want to join the Marine Corps infantry when i graduate. Ive already decided im fine with giving up the opportunity to play college sports but theres one thing that worries me. With how hard it is to get a job these days, will it be very hard for me to find a good paying job right out of the Corps without a college degree? Should i use the GI bill if i want any chance of finding a job that pays well? Im looking at a police officer. Whats the best route to take to become a police officer right out of the Corps? If i can avoid going back to college that would be great but if thats what i have to do then fine. Just need some advice on how to get a job as a police officer after the USMC. Thanks

It is really not that complicated.
After you get off active duty, you research and see what cities, towns (states- lots of state troopers out there) are hiring. Look and see if you meet their minimum requirements for residency and education; then you apply and take the test. If you score high enough ont he test (and veterans usually get points added to their score - veterans preference), you will go on through the rest of the process (background check, PT test, medical & psych exam etc).
I became a police officer right after I came home from the service in the early 70s. Times were tough back then too.
Also, some department require some college, but they often accept military service in its place. Every place as slightly different requirements.

i could definatelly circulate military MP, I purely complete militia Police college on august seventh, have been given stationed here in fortress Bliss Texas, and that i admire being an MP, purely keep in mind, that purely reason your interest call is militia Police doesnt recommend you would be doing police artwork! I artwork the roads in basic terms some days a week maximum weeks, im area of a wrestle group, so the line isnt our considerable concentration.

you have to attend a police academy and get certified.
Just remember that police have access to ALL your records,even as a minor.Don't waste you time and money if you have a felony ! !
