"We need the Liberal ideology as much as Custer needed another Indian!"

They know so much that isn't so.

The Liberal ideology is a theory , fostered by a delusional, illogical minority and which holds forth beliefs that have no basis in reality.

They are Advocates of a policy that empowers a strong federal government to enslave its people with a high tax burden incident to the support of extravagant and unnecessary social programs destructive to both the work ethic among the lower class, and the incentive to innovate and succeed among the working class.

"When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic."

Liberals like to spend other peoples money!!

The problems we face today are because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living.

So why are the most competitive capitalist economies currently residing in Socialist Democratic states? Other than that I'd have to ask exactly what is it that is being produced & consumed here, & why is the U.S. marketplace become completely captured by monopolies & mercantile cartels since deregulation has kicked in? I know you feel you believe in what you're saying (or at least you want me to believe in your vague metaphor for it's pie in the sky effect) but the statistics don't back up the belief system.

The meaning of liberal has changed over time. In the United Kingdom the "liberal" party is still small government, while the "labor" government is the left-wing. In the United States liberalism has usually been associated with left-wing politics. Part of it could be due to the divide on social issues - democrats are "liberals" on social issues and support greater freedom for gays, immigrants, etc.while Republicans are less liberal. The Democratic party is a fairly big tent so it has many people who support free trade and capitalism - Clinton signed NAFTA if you recall, cut welfare, and presided over the biggest stock market boom and capitalist growth in modern US history - as well as people on the far left like Kucinich or Barabara Lee who are very critical of many aspects of capitalism and free trade.

because that is a fundamentally false statement

Capitalism is the way money makes money, not money makes goods and services

a liberal supports systems that provide for a slightly more fair distribution of goods and services

unregulated capitalism concentrates all wealth in the hands of a tiny few

Source(s): learn economics, not political propaganda

Consumption is necessary for production. I gather you don't know what your talking bout since your question makes almost no sense. Both conservativism and liberalism clearly recognize you need both consumption and production; there's nothing political about that little piece of logic.

And Capitalist would be broke without consumers, so it is in their best interest to pay a living wage to their employees.

    Liberalism is capitalism too.

What is the point of producing something if nobody is consuming it?

Because we understand that without consumption there would be no capitalism!
