How to get my potato drawer not to smell?

I got rid of the rotten potato and washed the drawer out. I've left the drawer open for days but its still stinky in there. Help!

Make sure your drawers are nice and dry. Sprinkle baking soda liberally through the bottom.Cover that over with double sheeted newspaper. Change it when it starts looking soiled. Easy as pie.

You did not clean it well enough. Do it again, only better this time. Is the drawer made of wood? If so, the odor has soaked into the wood and will be there forever... You also might try sudsing ammonia, white vinegar, or bleach (one at a time of course). My mom kept potatoes in a plastic lined wooden crate under the kitchen sink... And now you know why it was lined with plastic, with double layers.

Wipe it down with some vinegar & water. Or use some lemon juice.
