It is said you can only be betrayed by those you trust...?

A true statement but does that mean you shouldn't trust anyone?

Someone who refuses to trust out of fear of betrayal is not going to have a very fulfilling life. Betrayal happens, just deal with it the best you can when it happens.

You can be betrayed by anyone that has any kind of relationship with you. Trusting the person just makes it more painful.

You could not trust a co-worker who doesn't like you. Said co-worker could break the office copier and blame it on you - even Photoshop a picture of you peeing on it or something. That would be betrayal, but it would just suck more if it was your work buddy who threw you under the bus to save their own ****.

Beyond that you can't express love without trust. Love (the word) is actually a verb, it's an action or a series of actions. Trusting the right people gives you security, happiness and love that will always outshine the negative possibilities.

I was recently betrayed by someone I loved and that loved me. Was hurt, angry but you cannot take revenge or not forgive because it will prolong the pain. However it is hard to trust that person who again.

That does not mean you cannot learn to trust again, you have to see at as not being responsible for other peoples actions, it is on their conscience.

I am a trustful person and would never betray the trust of anyone have always been that way and am determined to carry on that way.

In today's that is wise. Trust is an outdated concept and is about as useless as Latin.
