Should it be illegal for certain people to have babies?

while i agree in some cases, it's not very cut and dry. you have to regulate how bad the disorder is and what can be done and it's really messy. also remember that you're telling people they can't have kids. that's not gonna sit well with the general public

As it happens, it is now possible, through pre-implantation genetic diagnosis, to make sure that a genetic disease is not passed on. So, that's not a reason to prevent certain people from having children.

As for other reasons, sorry, but it's not for you or the government to decide whether someone makes enough money to have a child. Some poor people have managed to raise their children very well over the centuries. (Think about the people who were raised during the Great Depression, or immigrant families who have come to the US with nothing.) And if it becomes clear that someone Is NOT able to feed, clothe, and shelter a child adequately, government agencies can and do step in. You can't predict in advance how well a set of parents will manage on whatever resources are available.

In any case, there would be flat-out outrage if the government tried to prevent anyone from having children, no matter how well intentioned. This is considered a natural right. You are never going to change that.

We have to be very careful, so we don't follow Hitlers plans to get rid of certain groups and People. Hitler did many choices on what he thought we should do to gain control. BUT I firmly believe many of the low life women who don't give a damned about how many children they pop out and then don't take care of them or support them should have their Crotch sewed up. BUT where do we draw the line ???

No, medicine is getting better. My daughter has a heart problem and me and her father dont have one. To fix her heart problem they are making real tissue that will grow with her...its in the making.but I believe people should do what they want.

This gives the people charge of picking who can have babies WAY too powerful. Life's not fair, I guess we just have to deal with it.

I tend to agree with you but this is one huge can of worms, where do you stop? Who makes the choices?
