Can a hypochondriac give them self symptons?

I suffer from depression anxiety and panic attacks and have done for a couple of years now. I started taking a small dose of sertaline a week ago and in 2 days I have to up my dose to 50mg. I'm becoming a hypochondriac and every ache and pain I get I think its cancer or I'm gonna die... I'm short sighted and I don't wear my glasses which causes my eyes to strain, my jaw sometimes clicks when I chew, I had a cold recently and still got a bit of a runny nose and It's kinda blocked. I also sometimes get sharp or dull pains in my head, I automatically think its a brain tumor and google symptons of absolutely everything. Don't say go see a doctor can you please just give me some advice or something? Am I being stupid? Am I getting these head pains because I don't wear my glasses? Could my anxiety depression and panic attacks be causing me to be a hypochondriac and if I keep googleing symptons could my brain convince my body to start having the symptons? Any answers will be useful. Thank you!! :(

You can talk yourself into anything.

You can talk yourself out of anything.

This is the power of the mind.

Nothing you have mentioned sounds life threatening, or even unusual. You answered your own question about headaches.....it's your eye strain!!

You need to go to a hospital and have a look at people who are really sick and dying. Is that what you want for yourself? I can guarantee they would cheerfully change places with you.

You are channeling all that brain power in a negative direction.....stop it!

Why the hell would you want to be sick or diseased? Will it give you the attention you want? All it does is make people feel sorry for you. I would much rather be remembered for something positive.

Stay away from googling symptons and feeding your negative thoughts. If you are concerned about health, then talk yourself into something positive like getting fitter and eating properly.

You can talk your body into being strong or being weak. Your chioce.

So what will it be? A gym membership or a funeral plan policy?
