Is forcing your eyes to focus bad?

You do need glasses. Even if it didn't damage your eyes you are causing your body unnecessary stress and pain. straining your eyes gives you migraines, migraines can make you more easily stressed out, making your immune system weaker.

Butterfly effect. One thing effects another, and ultimately the whole system is effected.

But, yes. You are messing up your eyes.

Get glasses, when you can still see at 50 years old, you'll thank yourself.

No damage, no weakening. However, no reason to not wear your eyeglasses and relieve your symptoms of headache/migraine. Why live in a way that you can't read comfortably?
