what does a pro fighter do in a average day?
I'm really curious actually... i do enjoy doing martial arts and i would love to train it day in, day out lol.
I was watching this documentary of a jiu jitsu fighter... He said when he trains for a competition he trains up to 4x a day o_0!... wouldn't he have work to go to?...
I train alot... i train twice a day, rest on sundays... one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
I feel like that works for me.
But what would they do in a day... like wake up, eat etc... when they train etc... do they have work to go to? (business job, shop assistant etc...)
I would love to know this actually haha... thanks for any answers :)

A pro fighter works out probably 6-8 hours/day, 5-6 times/week. Just as other people go to the office he goes to the gym. He does A LOT of running, sparing, technique training, general exercises and so on.
And you working out 2 times/day is great now but you won't be able to do it forever. What do you do when you have college, work, maybe a girl, friends, family and all that. You can't be at all places at once.
Personally I barely fit in 4 times/week. Right now I'm off work around 4.30. Go home, grab a bite to eat, training is from 6-8. And that's it. Everything takes time. Some night you have to go out with your friends, other night you have to be with the girlfriend. So 2 times/day is not going to work forever my friend.

John’s figure is correct for the UFC level of fighters, but these guys also gets tens of thousands per fight, and don’t work a second job. Lesser fighters with second jobs tends to train at your level where they train morning and evening with proper recovery time in between. Lucky ones gets to teach where they train and they can get some extra practice in here and there while working.

Besides what John stated
A pro fight gets paid nothing per day, he pays for his training, as well as all his medical expense
Pro fighters only get paid per fight, which averages $200 per fight,
Unless you are one of the 1% that can make a living out of it. You are going to need a second job. And btw you need to pay at least 40% to 50% taxes on anything you make

A martial artist these days has to work as well as train and have control over his/her diet....In the old days when there were no fighting competitions the martial artists used to teach for their income , train , meditate , eat well ,drink tea, walk outside , and sometimes fight in the streets LoL

Pro fighters commonly are instructors, which gives them free access to gym facilities and sparring partners, and often free coaching from a senior instructor.
If they are not instructors, they have other jobs, they have to be able to pay bills too. Their spare time is consumed with training.
