How to tell my mom to buy me tampons?
I feel so embarrassed asking this on here >.<
I've had my period for about 2 years, my mom has always buys me pads, but I don't like pads because honestly, sometimes...I leak!!!.......so I took a tampon from my sister (I was careful to take it out on time, and to not sleep with it overnight), and I liked it, I didn't leak at all, and I didn't feel....dirty. but I don't know how to tell my mom if she can start buying me tampons, I just don't talk about this kind of stuff with my mom, it's super awkward.....
Can someone recommend me some tampon brands...for beginners (if there is such a thing) :)

You don't 'tell' your mom to get you tampons, you ask her - and you do so nicely considering that they're a lot more expensive than pads (she'll have to buy different absorbencies, and pads, plus tampon users are more likely to suffer vaginal infections) - and to do so you simply go to her next time you need supplies and say 'Mom, can you buy me tampons please?' - it's that simple.
As for brands - you should always opt for cotton tampons such as Cottons, Natracare, Emerita, Maxim or Seventh generation and you should always avoid rayon tampons such as Tampax, Playtex, and Kotex as rayon tampons pose significantly higher risks of TSS, vaginal infections, and they contain substances like dioxin. Besides cotton are softer and expand more evenly so a better option anyway.

I feel the same way! And I did the same thing!
I just texted her because I didn't want to say it to her face because it was awkward. Don't worry about it ! And I use Playtex sport because theyre the bomb.com

"I want to try them and see if they work better because pads are uncomfortable and I don't want anyone to notice."
