It depends on what kind of person you are. Usually there is no benefit in doing this, but it can be beneficial to some, or morally invigorating. Btw, you worded your question wrong, atheists don't "disprove" any deity as this is impossible to do. Deities aren't "proven" in the first place (for them to be "disproven"), typical apologetics.

But we don't have to disprove any deity. since NONE have ever been validly proven...the believers themselves have disproved the existence of gods by being unable to validly show one actually ever existed!
