NEED HELP with a computer (old) and its tower. Dell computers?
So I have a old Dell desktop and tower, and i cannot open the disk tray on the tower. i press the button and i hear a clicking sound inside the tower and the tray doesnt move. i need help! The desktop and tower are from the late 90s or early 2000s.
Does anyone else have this problem? does anyone know how to fix this problem without bringing it to a shop?

There is a pin hole located on the front of the drive to open it up , stick a paper clip inside of it and this release the tray to open , now the real problem is the gears inside to open the tray up is damaged or try the tray is out of alignment wigggle it a litlle might straighten it out the best thing to do is to replace the unit whether it's a cd-rom or a dvd drive very easy to replace can get one cheap at any online pc part sites , call a ide optical drive look on the back once you get it out it will tell you if it's a cd-rom or a dvd drive

If look at the drawer you will see a little pin hole stick a pin in the hole and push it in that will open the drawer, Now you have an old late 90s or early 2000s. How would you like to bring it's operating system into the year May 2013.
