What is a good dandruff shampoo?

Ok so I need help. I started getting dandruff and think maybe it's the water where I am that's making that happen because nothing else has changed. So anyways I am looking for something on the natural side that isn't a drug store brand because all of those make my scalp itch. I am allergic to avocado and can't have something with a high concentration of peppermint. And something not too harsh because I do color treat my hair. I don't plan to use the dandruff shampoo everyday because the flakes are not bad I just want to keep everything at bay. Sorry this is a lot but PLEASE HELP! :)

I have SEVERE dandruff myself. Like, it's so bad. I even tried some things prescribed by my doctor and nothing helped. And I've tried every "anti-dandruff" shampoo on the market. They all just make it itch more. The only thing I've found to work is this shampoo you can usually find at Walgreens and sometimes Walmart. It's called "coal tar shampoo" or something along those lines. Look for something with tar. It's in a smaller bottle than most shampoos and it looks absolutely disgusting, and it smells terrible too. But it WORKS. it works soooooo good. I just wash thoroughly with that, then wash my hair and condition normally with something that smells a lot better, but isn't harsh. Usually baby shampoo so it doesn't irritate my scalp more. I know it sounds crazy but it really does work!
