Anyone know any good Greek love poetry?
I am looking for a Greek love poem that I can give to my fiance. I need a translation, so that I know what it says, but I want to give it to him in Greek. Nothing sensual, please. We have not even so much as kissed, so it wouldn't make sense. Thank you for your help.

Here's one that I've liked since high-school. It's by Maria Polydouri:
(translation is mine so bear with me)
Close to you
Close to you the winds don't sound harsh
Close to you there is peace and light
Around our mind's golden reel
the rosy contemplation coils
Close to you silence sounds like laughter
reflected by tender eyes
and if we sometime speak,
unemployed joy flutters somewhere beside us
Close to you sadness blooms like a flower
and unsuspected goes through life
Close to you all is sweet and all like velvet
like caress, like dew, like breath

I'm sure you could find the original Greek online, but here are a few that I think you might like:
One Girl by Sapho
Lost Desire by Meleager
They're both kind of sad though.
An alternative would be "Letter of Mathios Paskalis" by George Seferis, but there is some reference to 'sensuality' depending on how much you read into certain lines.

"Ode on a Grecian Urn" via John Keats notwithstanding the poem would not right away reference any specific Greek delusion, it quite is a few speaker who seems at a Greek urn and relates it to love, interior the approach invoking extremely some photos that should actual be related to the parable of your determination. "Leda and the Swan" via W.B. Yeats This poem is questioning approximately aesthetics probable greater effective than love, notwithstanding if it does element an extremely violent rape of an harmless lady via an all-effectual Zeus, so it ought to be thrilling if analysed as a love poem.
