Can't send emails. keep getting security warning. Yahoo refuses to help.?
For over 2 weeks now, I can't send email from my yahoo account. I can receive it and I can send from my yahoo app on my phone, just not from the webmail online. I get a "suspicious activity" warning. I have talked with yahoo about this many times and they have given trying to help me and actually suggested I leave yahoo...which I don't want to do. Although I cancelled my Mail Plus account. Had this email for over 10 years. I want to keep it. I have tried everything customer care has suggested 3 times. Can somebody else please help me. Yahoo now refuses to help.

Last month, Yahoo tightened its security. To stop the barrage of spam. It worked but it also caught a lot of innocent users. Some people got the "suspicious" warning after sending an email to more than 3 people. For most users, the "suspicious" message stopped after 48 hours. They could once again send email. For others, the account can still not send mail. That is what is happening to you. None of the normal troubleshooting tips work. It is possible that customer-care is not sure exactly what to do. This is a problem that never happened before May 2013.
The hope is that your "suspicious" message will disappear in a few hours or days. Maybe weeks. But sooner or later you will be able to use your online webmail. You are not alone.
There is a (very) small chance that someone got into your account and made changes which were picked up by the anti-spam filter.
