Should I sell index fund for 90 yr old mom?
My mom has Alzheimer's and can no longer manage her own money. She just turned 90 and she has everything in the Vanguard 500 index fund. Should I sell it all and put it into a money market or CD for her instead? She has no bonds but she has a steady monthly annuity income.

If she needs more monthly income, then putting that money in a money market, CD or bond index fund makes sense. If she doesn't need income, then I don't see a point in touching the money.
