wii controller pro u not working?
I was trying to play Zelda: ocarina of time on the wii, and I asked in a game shop which controller I needed cause I know it doesn't work with the normal one, and they gave a gimneric controller pro, which is compatible with both wii and wii u. It is supposed to be a combo between the stick and the classic controller. Anyway, I got it home and it won't turn on. I'm leaving it on to charge now, but it won't turn on when its not plugged in. And it will only turn on once when it is connected. I'm hoping a few hours charging will help this. But when it does turn on, it won't sync with the wii. Tried holding down the sync on both controller and console whilst on the menu screen and it won't work. I'm thinking about taking it back tomorrow. But if anyone has any solutions that would be great.
Also, if I do take it back, is it worth getting another one? Will this controller even work with the game? Or should I get something else. I still have my N64 and love playing zelda, but the save doesn't work anymore, and I was hoping I could use a wireless controller for it, so I can play in the big room. Are there any wireless controllers that work with this game? I know the gamecube controller is supposed to be compatible, but it's not wireless
Thank you

I suggest taking it back and getting a Nintendo-branded Wii Classic Controller
You could probably find one that was used, which is what I did. It only cost me $15, and it works great!
All you do is hook it up to the Wii remote, and BAM! You're good to go
