Kindle fire or kindle fire HD?

Hi. I am thinking of buying either the kindle fire or the kindle fire HD. Do you think it is worth paying the extra money to get the Kindle fire HD or is there not much of a difference. Also is the memory good on either of them?

If you're in the UK, this user opinion will help you decide. It's from a user who originally ordered the Kindle Fire but then switched to the Kindle Fire HD:

There's quite a big difference between the two devices, IMHO. Here's how the Kindle Fire compares to the more advanced Kindle Fire HD:

    - No camera, no HDMI, no bluetooth, no microphone, no gyroscope, no ambient light sensor, all these can be found on Kindle Fire HD

    - 2 point multi-touch (vs 10 point multi-touch screen on Kindle Fire HD)

    - Has stereo speaker (vs Dolby Audio dual-driver stereo speakers)

    - Has normal Wi-Fi (vs dual-band, dual-antenna Wi-Fi)

    - Slower processor, shorter battery life (8.5 hrs vs 11 hrs)

    - Only 8GB memory (vs 16GB or 32GB options)

    - Same screen size but lower screen resolution (1024 x 600 169 ppi vs 1280 x 800 up to 720p HD)

Hi. The additional features you receive in getting Kindle Fire HD over Kindle Fire are:

    - 1280*800 HD Display (vs 1024*600 non-HD display)

    - Front Facing HD camera

    - Dual WiFi Antenna for faster downloads

    - Digital Dolby audio speakers

    - Bluetooth capability

    - HDMI out

    - Around 11 hours of battery backup (vs around 8.5 hours)

Review comparison from an actual user of both devices:

So if you think all of it is worth the price then go ahead for the Kindle Fire HD. My opinion would be Kindle Fire HD too as those features are pretty much worth the price.

If you're going to spend the money on a Fire, you may as well go whole hog and get HD. You think it's not noticeable but when you're flicking through the tv channels, you really can see what you're missing when you watch an older film or show.

The HD is well worth it. it's about 2K-3K more pixels per sqr CM of screen and there is usually a larger memory with HD too. but If I were you I would choose he iphone 4G over either the nook or kindle fire. it's got way better internet service, and faster loading time too with the apps.

better watch a movie, than read a written e book.Of course,it is simpler to get an improved picture by watching the action(images),then browsing through each one of these indicated words.
