Guard officer to Marine Corps officer?

I'm an ROTC Cadet contracted for the Army National Guard, enlisting into the smp program with an MP unit. After I graduate, commission, and serve out my Guard commitment, what would be my options in regards to transferring to AD U.S. Marines as an officer?

Not a good idea, You either apply to be commissioned as ANG or USMC officer. PRIOR service are rarely accepted anymore in the branches, because it would require a prior service waiver(im not sure what its called for officers) waivers are not what the Marines want to do now. if you wanted to become an officer in the USMC, why not consult with a MARINE OSO.

edit: I did not see your avatar, you were already wearing a uniform for ANG. I would assume you are close to becoming an officer in the ANG,.

NOte: Even prior service recruits are finding it tough to re-enlist as prior service.

You could get out and try to go to OCS. Your status in the Guard will have no bearing on your ability to earn a commission in the Marine Corps. You would be looked at just like any other candidate and would start as a 2ndLt.
