Why no longer foot switches for high beams?

If one is maneuvering through a turn, and especially if one drives a manual transmission, one's left hand may not be near the "light stick", and also not available to leave the wheel to drop the high beams if one's right hand is busy on the gear shift...

Besides, the left foot has nothing better to do more than 99% of the time.

    Cause that's so American.

The left foot is for the clutch.

The COST of an extra switch and wiring would be more than maNUFACTURERS would spend.
