Suggestions please: Virtuosic clarinet pieces?

So I have a concert coming up, which will feature solos and small ensembles from my orchestra.

I was going to be playing the 3rd movement of Weber's Grand Duo Concertant, but I have been informed that the piano part is too difficult for the piano player.

I now need to find something else.

The other clarinetist is playing this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MQovTHw1so , so I need to make sure he doesn't outdo me.

I'm looking for something that is

: Virtuosic

: With at least some degree of musicality; I don't just want a bunch of fast notes that are devoid of musical content.

: Out of copyright, so that I'll have a chance of finding it to download and print.

So far I have Messager's Solo de Concours as a possibility.

    How about:

Krommer - Clarinet Concerto in E flat (the last movement is quite virtuosic) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxxPEazWqKk

Rossini - Introduction, Theme and Variations http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFsAVlR_pnE

Or one of the Spohr concertos?

And if the quality of the pianist is a problem, have you considered doing the Stravinsky Three Pieces for Solo Clarinet (in copyright, though)?

You should explore the works of the following virtuoso pianists/arrangers/composers: Ferruccio Busoni Muzio Clementi John Field Leopold Godowsky Henri Litolff Nikolai Medtner Olivier Messiaen Ignaz Moscheles Moritz Moszkowski Carl Nielsen Ignaz Paderewski Ferdinand Ries (Beethoven's pupil) Anton Rubinstein Alexander Skryabin (Scriabin) Kaikhosru Sorabji Alexander Tcherepnin

It's not out of copyright and it may also be too hard for the pianist, but Poulenc's Clarinet Sonata is great.

EDIT: It's more modern than the Weber, so it may be wise to avoid it if you don't listen to/play much 20th century music.

How about some Debussy? Premiere Rhapsodie for Clarinet.

I don't know how many of the following list might suit but it's worth a look: http://www.clarinetinstitute.com/CI%20Clarinet%20a...
