Hey atheists ... why is logic such a hard concept to accept for those seeking "the truth"?

You see them and try to rationalize with them every day, yet no amount of common sense will ever get through to those with "faith" of their fantasy based God...

Lots of reasons, actually. Some people simply have no other basis of comparison. Some people think that "logic" is actually something "the devil" created to test the "will" of the "faithful." Some people -- most of my family, in fact -- are simply terrified of questioning their god and their faith because it would be "blasphemous."

I think it's usually some combination of all of these things, though. Imagine that everything you believed in, everything you KNEW to be real was all lies meant to keep you in line. That's a very frightening thing.

well..for the answer to that, you will have to ask the theists who refuse to accept all the TRUTH that no god exists!

Well, the theists just don't understand. They are convinced they know better than the scientists. The guy that didn't manage high school sicence class think that Hawking is stupid. They have a psychotic view of the world. I guess logic and relgion are two opposites.

Atheists are constantly patting themselves on the back about their vaunted common sense, rationality and logic. Such are the rewards of atheism (instead of eternal life).

After studying logic for 3 years I can say that logic is a hard concept for nearly everyone.

There is a version of the Christian faith which provokes people into thinking absurd things, and there are other, less vocal versions thereof which are less absurd. However, life is absurd and reason and emotion cannot be separated.

Science has not explained everything yet. God could still make sense to people. Plenty of scientists do. Its not big deal really.

Ah, truth. I've found it, so why would I buy your ..nothing comments?

Logic is great for a few useless things like ...how to buy a car,

or 'let's go on holidays and duh, do we have enough money for that'.

But God lives beyond, outside of your logic which is too elemental

    for me.

I lived your way, left it, won't be back.

Too bad atheists didn't invent logic.

It's called the structural tendency. The longer you believe something false, the harder it is to accept you were wrong.
