Can someone reccomend a good slicer for the kitchen?
I am looking hard for a slicer for my kitchen that will save me time when slicing onions, potatoes, carrots, etc. I bought a Pampered Chef Ultimate Mandolin and it's an absolute joke...suggestions on what to look for are greatly appreciated :)

if you have a kitchen aid mixer i would suggest the roto slicer attachment. it would be real good for potatoes and carrots not sure about onions though. it comes with two slicing and two grating blades

I use a stainless steel Bron Coucke Mandolin, which I have always been fond of. Food processors are great for this as well, and are faster than a mandolin, but the problem you might encounter is consistency -- produce sliced in a food processor can come out in slightly different thicknesses depending on the amount of pressure you put on the food being processed.

Yes you can go for Potato Spiral Cutter/Slicer. These have helped me and my family get the real taste of veggies. And they are really easy to use. Glad to have been of help.
