What do I say to turn a job offer down?

My neighbor wants to know if id like a summer job. He said he'll pay me, but I think its outside work and I dont want to be either pouring sweat or being poured on. I also have a lot of plans to go out, and ill be busy. How do I say I dont want the job, but nicely. Im also kind of a whuss so I dont like people frowning upon mee. I cant really think of a way to be nice but tell him I cant do it or dont want to. Any help is appreciated:)

Tell him or her that you really appreciate the offer and you are really glad they considered you but that you have other things lined up for the summer. They won't be offended as long as you bow out graciously and show appreciation for their offer.
