what do people think of fdr the president?
i have actually heard republicans say that FDR was a bad president even though. he took us out of the great depression. and lead us into a prosperous time lasting almost fifty years. that's history and fact. indisputable.
john - his policies were in action till this day.the baby boomers and a little older and younger were the benefactors. your telling me the last fifty years just didn't happen. even with bush. his policies still are in action. taring us down. but after FDR. we observed an un paralleled time of prosperity. are the people supposed to act as if that didn't happen. and in the last 30 years. republicans have dragged us back to the time before the great depression. when kids were not educated. people worked for nothing. and now we have seen the result of this kind of action. at ford before worker rights. people were peeing down there legs into cups. no breaks. a minimum wage was enacted and rights. then ford was the place to work.

FDR's economic policies extended the Great Depression. He declared war on Germany & Japan when the country was unprepared to fight. He did not lead the US into a 50 year span of prosperity.
Source(s): If FDR was so great, why did Congress enact a 2 term limit for president less than two hours after FDR's death? Where in hell did you find that tripe? I swear it sounds like nonsense michael moore would put in to one of his movies.
