I used an evp app on my phone and im scared it wasnt fake?
Ok so me and my friends downloaded an app from the app store on iphone called evp-pro.. Before i tell you what was said and what happened, we were in my kitchen and about 10 steps away from my living room.. And the windows in my living room were open, we were also using headphones which pick up everything a lot clearer. Ok so we started i asked if anything wanted to talk to me and we both heard what appeared to be something saying " yeaah " in a eerie whisper. After freaking out i wanted to find out if it was malicious or peaceful, my friend was also provoking by taking the shmichael. After a 9 minute questioning we played it back and picked up something that sounded deep and un human. We couldnt make out what it said but it spoke twice. We asked how many and if id angered it there was a bang from something we did and then the voice " ____ with these do " and after that i said i didnt want trouble it said something else we wasnt sure on. There were a few moans in other evps. Im not to sure if the noises we heard were picked up from outside and if an iphone 4s could really be used as a evp recorder. After realising i was playing with fire i firmly declared anything that may be here to leave even said i banishing prayer in the name of jesus christ. I dont no if im being overly paranoid and its all a fake illusion of an app or if it was outside contamination.. Does anybody no of anyone that has done similar. Baring in mind i have lived in my new home for a little over 2 weeks and the houses are pretty new, only about 6 - 7 years old.. Im almost certain it was out doors and the voices were distorted. I mean really what are the chances of getting a boat load of evps and a demonic voice in about 3 evp recordings? When you watch paranormal investigating shows and there in actual haunted houses, hotels, prisons and get nothing.

You can relax, they are all fake. It's super easy to dupe ghost believers into buying these things, since the current ghost fad is so gadget-oriented. Anyhow, this ghost app you downloaded is designed to be spooky and scary, because after all, that's what ghosthunters are looking for. It creates the EVPs using a built-in dictionary of words and phrases, and probably some voice recognition as well. It's just a trick, nothing to worry about.

I agree with Danielle on what to use. Never use an app that is specifically orientated to do a bit of ghost hunting. They want it to sell, so it is probably going to be tainted by commercialism. No ones going to recommend it if they don't hear something spooky.
If you watch any ghost hunting show, you will see that more than not, we use items that were originally designed for other purposes but happen to work on detecting fluctuations preluding to ghostly phenomenon.
We discuss this type of stuff on our new fb page: https://www.facebook.com/TheParanormalRadarGroup
Digital recorders were invented to record live people, they just happen to be good at catching other audible tones that the human ear cannot.
Whenever you try to communicate with a spirit, ask short questions in a loud and clear voice.
Be respectful and don't demand but humbly request that they talk with you.
Allow for long gaps between questions as it takes a lot of energy to speak from the afterlife and you might even have a chatty Kathy who won't appreciate being interrupted during their response.
Overall you sound like you find it fun to watch ghost hunting on TV, especially when Zak gets his shirt off!, but you're more inclined to the "I don't know and I don't want to know" stance of dealing with the afterlife. Not a bad thing, just what some people feel more comfortable thinking.
I think you're perfectly safe and if you think that you are not, then contact a local church to come and bless your home. You should have it blessed anyways because it's new.
Hope this helps!

A lot of 'EVP apps' give fake readings (that's what they're made for - to have fun and play pranks).
If you're serious about doing EVP work, take a digital recording device with microphone and recording capacity - it doesn't have to be expensive, but more often than not, the more you spend on it the better quality of recordings you will get - and go to the site you believe to be haunted. Ask several varied questions (i.e. how old are you, what's your name, how long have you been here), and review the recording later.
I wouldn't be fooled by 'EVP apps' - they're like the 'Blaire Witch Project' or 'Paranormal Activity'. Fun, and convincing - but for entertainment purposes only.

I haven't used an EVP app, so I don't know how accurate it would be. I would try using a digi recorder instead. Mark any sounds, coughs, etc. that you make and see what you get.

Don't allow the sounds of a voice freak you out as they are always there, sometimes the sound of there voice may not always be clear, so their intentions may sound confusing, don't worry, just go on with life.

The only way to know for sure is to try it again with a digital recorder. This may confirm that it was real or not real, but I would recommend that you leave it alone. The more you mess with it the more power you may give it.
