Are there any illnesses which could give similar symptoms of throat cancer?
My daughter started with difficulties swallowing, complaining of something in the throat about 1 year ago and she was treated as a gastro problem but now she is having problems breathing, coughing, pain in her throat ( no blood discharges) and finally is seeing doctors. They have discovered her thyroid is enlarged but we are in the middle of further investigations. Doctors have not mentioned cancers but now her voice is hoarse. I strongly suspect cancer as she has every single symptom but
I want to also not get too paranoid and wondered could it be something less serious. She does have terrible heartburns

You must go see and ENT- an ear, nose, and throat health care provider. With medicaid I believe you are going to want a referral from your basic practioner. What u describe with the white spots sounds like thrush to me, however you said it doesnt appear like that. It would be an STD too, however it sounds adore it started when u have been as an alternative young. You certainly have open sores on your mouth, that is why it tastes like copper. Some thing that is- go see the ENT to have some cultures finished to look what is causing this crisis. Nonetheless, all of it appears a little bit inconsistent with the symptoms of oral melanoma.
