Can you name the only British car that had a column gear stick ?

The gear lever was mounted on the steering column

    I had a 1963 Vauxhall that had a column shift. I'm quite sure there must have been others at some time.

    there was more than one. Vauxhall (Chevrolet's British division) had several models available with manual column shift. If you add automatics that adds many more company's even rolls Royce had column shifted models.
