I have a WP number and year(1992) of a state High Court. Is it possible to get the order copy of this writ?

I am connected with a particular issue which has been the subject of a writ petition of the year 1992. It did not come to my notice. Now can I get the copy of the order in this particular writ? If yes, please advise how to get the order. Thanks.

Firstly with the help of the WP number and year (1992) of the particular State High Court browse for the Status as well the Order in the official Website of the particular State High Court, you may be able to track your Writ Petition record and may even get the Order in the case online itself.

Secondly you apply for the Certified Copy of the Order you sought from the Copying Branch of the High Court, you need to mention not only all particulars of the case, but even the date of order/name of the Bench/Judge that you are looking for in the case, if this detail is not known to you than you need to first apply for inspection of the file of the case, note down the details from the original file and then only proceed for applying for the certified copy.

Yes, you can get the copy from the High Court itself by paying the prescribed fee and copying charges. You can either apply directly or with the help of an advocate.
