I have windows 8 Question.?

How can I move and Icon from the start page to the desktop.

    Zozo A has it right if it's a desktop program. Start screen apps cannot be made into icons or moved to the desktop.

    on the start page, right click the icon, then click open file location. then click and drag it to the desktop.

    it has to be a normal program or folder.

    i'm not sure how to do it with a metro app but i assume you just navigate until you find it.
