Did I make a mistake?!?

Earlier today, I met a Canadian guy working at Trader Joe's (I love Canada and was wearing a Canada shirt). We started talking and I really felt like there was a connection. I'll only be here until the end of August, and I'm not looking for a relationship right now, but I feel like I should have given him my number or something- just to see. The store was super crowded and I didn't want to hold up the line, but now I feel like I might've made a mistake in not at least trying. Was I wrong? If so, is there anything I should/can do to rectify it?

No, you did not make a mistake and you were not "wrong". You acted appropriately given the other people there.

First, it is wise for you to not look for a relationship right now.

Second, if you want to contact that guy at Trader Joe's, then look up the telephone number or mail a letter saying how you enjoyed the visit You might write down: "I really enjoyed visiting your store on ________ . I would have continued talking with _________ , but I could understand why your good store had lots of people there and so I left saying ______________ . I know that I will be in Ontario (or whatever city/town you are at) until the middle of August. If there is a specific time (e.g., 10 a.m. on Mondays) when you have fewer customers, just let me know. Thanks." (Other detail you think would be good could be included.)

Note: Certainly, Canada is a fine country. I doubt that I would move into some towns on the east side in which it would be difficult to communicate in English. (I never learned French.) But, other locations would be okay.
