I'm almost 9 weeks pregnant with my third child and I've had the worst case of 'morning' sickness. I wasn't able to keep anything down for three days and finally went to the hospital. They prescribed me Zofran and it has been a lifesaver. The only downside (besides having to take meds while pregnant), that I experience, is constipation. I can sometimes go a couple days without having a bowel movement but the trade-off is worth it to me. According to the directions you're supposed to take it every 6 hours as needed. I find that just taking a 4mg dosage in the morning helps all day. I'm able to eat anything and everything I want! Hope this helps!
Just editing in response to another person's answer. Zofran does have a generic alternative. My insurance (Aetna) does cover it but with the generic I pay only $5 at Rite Aid for a month's supply.

There are some prescription nausea medications that are safe for use during pregnancy. Phenergan, the brand name for promethazine, is an antihistamine that's commonly prescribed for pregnancy-related nausea. Other medications your doctor might prescribe are Compazine, Tigan or Reglan. Compazine and Phenergan should never be taken together. Zofran is a powerful anti-nausea drug that was first developed for use with chemotherapy patients. It's been declared safe for use during pregnancy and usually has good results. It's very expensive, though, and isn't covered by most insurance plans.
