Why are people who "disapprove" of homosexuality so obsessed with a particular sex act?
Many gay male couples don't enjoy or practice anal sex, and many heterosexual couples DO enjoy and practice anal sex. In fact, there are relatively few sexual practices that a same-sex couple (of either sex, because lesbians also exist) can engage in that a heterosexual couple cannot. So why, when discussing homosexuality, does the anti-gay crowd jump right to the buttsex as a justification for their hatred and disgust?
And to head off objections, yes, YOU may personally have a different reason, but whenever anyone here asks a question about homosexuality and why anyone should think it's wrong without recourse to religious commandments, multiple respondents reply that anal sex is unnatural/has medical risks/etc. I want to know why that's the first thing in their minds, so this question is directed primarily at them. Why the fixation?
Gregory: Do you know what makes pedophilia and bestiality immoral? They cause HARM. They are rape. There is no similarity between them and consensual sex between adults of any gender. The fact that you don't appear to understand what makes something immoral is frightening.
B: Why does being able to reproduce matter so much? The species isn't in any danger of dying off. Plenty of heterosexuals choose not to have children all the time. Is that wrong?
john b. loved: You're doing exactly what I'm talking about. Why do you assume that homosexuality = anal sex? Read what I wrote. Plenty of gay men don't have anal sex. Plenty of straight couples DO. Most lesbians don't. So why does homosexuality mean anal to you? Why is that immediately where your mind goes?

You're not going to get a real answer. They don't have an answer. They refuse to acknowledge that females can be homosexual too, and that not all gay couple have anal sex.
Regardless of whether or not they like any form of sex, they've no right to tell anyone else whether or not they can enjoy it. If it offends them so much, maybe they should stop creeping in windows while couples are doing anal. It's not like they're going to be forced to watch or participate.

because they are quite fascinated by said act and often feel aroused by the idea. that freaks them out big time. after all 99.9999% of people F for pleasure and anal can make both sides(men or women or both) come. Actually anal is very common in gay coupling. Majority do. Pretty popular in straight coupling as well.
Do you know that men have erogenous spot near their prostate? that's why they can come receiving anal.

We don't have a fixation on anything. We are not obligated to pander to you or constantly pat you on the back or shower you with sympathetic tears. We disagree with this act. You are not obligated to agree. Simple as that.

You are using this anal sex issue as a straw-man argument; a logical fallacy.
Scripture addresses any same sex sexual relationship as a sinful lifestyle, period.

To justify themselves. There are 7-8 passages in the Bible pertaining to homosexuality and most of them are ambiguous. There are over 30 pertaining to greed and the wealthy yet those are over looked.
(Often by those who do the gay bashing).

Gays can't make babies the natural way. God created us the way He did so we could reproduce and continue the species.
Test tubes, artificial insemination etc are NOT natural. And don't say "gays can adopt" because that is not helping the human race to continue.
@Carbon footprint, there would be no love between a gay man and a lesbian. Only children made with love are natural. That's why we have so many freaks running around.

committing immoral behavior is wrong just as it is wrong for a person to have sex with child or a animal or a dead person.
its not hatred to oppose immoral behavior and stand against it
