[Harry Potter] Tattoo Opinions?
Hey, I'm 17 and i'm really into Harry Potter, like, it's been my childhood and I still love it as much today. I just think the literature is outstanding, despite being a 'childrens' book. The themes are very much adult and it's the only book and movie to have made me cry (lol I sound sad now), but yeah I love it and have been really wanting to get a tattoo related to it. Do you think that's stupid and do any other potterheads have any ideas?
thanks.

I think it's an awesome idea as long as you're sure you can commit to it. My policy with tattoos is KISS: keep it simple, stupid. Usually the less colour it has, the better it looks in my opinion. Personally I don't prefer colours in my tattoos, just black or greyscale.
There are some great Harry Potter tattoo ideas out there. I love the deathly hallows symbol but I can understand why people might not like it, it's really mainstream. I've always thought it would be a cool idea to get a white ink tattoo saying "i must not tell lies" on my hand. But there's seven books and hundreds of pages in this series, you'll be able to find a unique idea somewhere.

i love harry potter as well but i think getting a related tattoo is going overboard. I mean if you get a tattoo of an owl that is fine but dont go and get character portraits done

It is your body, decorate it how you want!
You don't need a heart wrenching story to get a tattoo!
I love the idea of getting a tattoo that reminds you of your childhood.
