Well if I had to pick an individual artists that hold it down for my east coast NYC I would say Nas.
But a group that's really good holding it down for NYC right now is Pro Era ( Capital Steez (RIP), Joey Bada$$ CJ Fly etc...

the closest thing to decent rap in florida i know of is Cyne, Critical Madness, or Celph Titled. not really a huge fan of FLs scene.
