GCSE overall grades.....?
Hiya! I'll be honest, I really don't think I've done well in my gcses this year, but to put my mind at rest to I can just enjoy the summer without worrying about my results (well, if the sun comes out and gives us a summer haha), can you help me with the following...
Assuming I get all Ds in these exams, if I provide the results of my controlled assessments can you tell me a rough average grade estimate of the overall grade?:
CAs results:-
History: C & B (the C was from my exam last year but will be including in the calculation of my overall grade, I took two history exams this year, assume they're both Ds)
English Literature: A
English Language: B
Art: A* (60% of final mark)
Science: C (25% of final mark, took three science exams this year, assume they're all Ds)
French: A, A, A & B
ICT: C & A
Welsh: A (5%), A (5%), B (20%)
I Know it's confusing but if you can help work out the averages that would be great!:D thanks x

The easy thing with working out what you should come out with at the end of all your GCSEs is that most of the time, they equal up into a nice medium. I can provide you with what I THINK your results might come out like based on what you've got in the same way that a teacher might if they also took the information you provided into consideration. You never know, you might have done fantastically well on your exams with not a D in sight! It wouldn't be surprising considering the quality of your coursework but here goes:
History: (C,B,D,D) I'd say here that you'd probably come out with a mid to low C because of the B you got.
English Literature: (A, D) This would likely equal out to a low B, high C depending on how good your A is and how bad your D is.
English Language: (B, D) This would average out to a C.
Art (A*, D) This would even out to be a low A, high B. Very well done on this one!)
Science: (C, D, D, D) Unfortunately, you'd come out with a D on this one.
French: (A, A, A, B, D) Hmm, low A or a high B. Again, very well done!
ICT (C, A, D) Low B, high C.
Welsh: (A, A, B, D) Low A, high B.
