Great places to live in the United States?
My parents recently got divorced and now I live with my mother. She is thinking about moving to a different place in the United States and wants to know where I'd like to live. She is thinking about moving to Florida because we love vacationing there. I do know that living there is WAY different than vacationing there so maybe you could give me some pros and cons to living in Florida as well as some nice places to live (city, state). I currently live in Kansas and its boring here so I'd like places that have lots of stuff to do. Thanks!

I have family in Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida from my dad's side of the family. When my parents divorced I went with him to Florida. The weather is usually pretty nice, but hurricanes are a big issue. Also, we lived in southern Florida, so close to the everglades. since Florida is basically living on a swamp, there are lots and lots of snakes! Especially venomous ones. And gators. And even Niall Monitor lizards, which are large and aggressive. They kind of look like Komodo Dragons but different coloring. And there are tons of tourists in the summer, be prepared. Also, if you're against Cubans for whatever reason, probably not the place for you. I loved it there but the reptiles threw me off, there were so many. Also, i now live in Norman Oklahoma, and thankfully NO tornadoes in Florida. That one that hit 5 minutes away in OKC was scary

I've lived several places, but I gotta give kudos to Pittsburgh, PA for the things you worth. By no means a better neighborhood spirit, Easter Egg Hunt, Fourth of July fireworks (the bridges, buildings, and river explode in a paroxysm of patriotism, with the Pittsburgh Symphony taking part in all the specifications in time with the explosions). The airport is shut by and manufacturer new. The hospitals are great, chiefly U of Pitt and Allegheny general. Crime is enormously low, and dwelling prices are even under $200K for 3BR, 2.5BA ranch with 1/four acre in the North or South Hills. As far as assembly single ladies or elevating youngsters, Pittsburgh is exceptional. The dwelling of Mister Rogers (the place he was copying what he saw of its regional atmosphere on his exhibit) . People are very friendly and necessary. Even the bar scene has a extra homey, Cheers-like surroundings rather of being the traditional meat market. It's a beautiful metropolis, too, no longer very gigantic (250,000 persons) and dramatic surroundings. It is a spectator sports lover's paradise with pro, college, and even high university groups, but additionally has stunning white water (Ohiopyle), fine snowboarding (Seven Springs), and breathtaking Pennsylvania woods and other nature (caves, mountains) close through. There are museums, music, theatre and even neighborhood orchestras, troupes, and different rich cultural resources in all places. You can't aid however fall in love with Pittsburgh!

Florida is only nice in the winter. The rest of the year the weather is really bad.
San Diego is one of the nicest cities in the country. It's a major tourist destination and there are tons of things to do. With 70 miles of beautiful beaches, countless parks and gardens, major league sports, dozens of golf courses, world class museums, Tony Award winning theater, great cuisine, best weather in the country, high tech industry, major universities, and the best zoo in the world, it's my choice as THE place to live and play in the USA.

the USA is very diverse
so what exactly are you looking for
many places with the highest standards of living (good schools, low crime, clean environment,
etc..) are found in the Northeast and West Coast
look places like Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Vermont, Ne York, New Jersey, DC suburbs, Portland OR suburbs, Seattle area and much of California
most these places are more expensive, but you get what you get what you pay for
another downside is that many of these places have a lousy a climate (main exceptions being California and DC suburbs)
