You can take Metro:
For example from
3rd Ave & Pike St
take Metro RAPIDRIDE C LINETO WEST SEATTLE (ask for a transfer)
Get off at Sw Alaska St & California Ave Sw - Bay 3
Go to Bay 2 and Transfer to
Route MT 773 SEACREST MARINA
Continues as MT 775 Ask the driver to let you know when you get to the stop closest to Alki Beach
Walk 0.4 mile NE to ALKI BEACH

Salty's is also good and they advertise as being at Alki, but they are not really at Alki Beach - it is quite a distance away around the east side of the point facing Seattle: http://saltys.com/find
