No health insurance and might be autistic?

Please no comments demeaning me for my strange self-diagnosis, I'd like to leave that to a professional.

I'm quite sure I show heavy symptoms of autism, especially anxiety, OCD, and ODD. My problem is that I'm quite sure I do not have health insurance, but I'm not sure how to check. I'm 20, will be 21 in about a week. I live in Tennessee, lack a vehicle, and don't know where to even get started on getting health insurance. I live with my grandparents who are not so often available to take me places.

I'd like to know if I can still see a doctor for this without health insurance, and if so, about how much would such a thing cost. Thank you for your help.

Do u go to school? Then u may be able to apply for Medicaid or something. Or even your grandparents can put you on theirs." I think it like up until age 24" just call you local benefits office and see what you all apply for. another way to get tested you could always go up to a hospital and tell them you feel you are about to hurt someone or yourself alot of hospitals will do 24 hour evaluation<< not saying your crazy. It's just that an emergency room can't turn you away. but a regular doctors office can turn you away without insurance.

If you don't know if you have insurance it is quite likely you do not. You have to beg for insurance in this great country golf ours unless someone (yourself or family) are paying for it for you. Every area has a mental health agency where they see patients in need and who do not have insurance. I am not demanding you in any way but Autism in general is over diagnosed as it is and self diagnosis is a slippery slope. I wish you the best in finding someone to assess your complaints
