HP Pavillion g7 keeps zooming in and out in Chrome?

My mom just got this laptop, and she keeps calling me, because she'll just be using it, and the screen will suddenly start zooming in and out in her Chrome browser, and I don't know how to make it stop.

Is there a setting or something that can be disabled so it will stop doing this?

    that sort of action takes place when you keep Control key pressed and simultaneously move the scroll button on the Mouse.

    on mine also happens with

    control / + / -

    try to pop the cap off the key and see if

    anything is stuck
