Is there any guitarist out there who is double jointed?

I'm wondering, was it difficult for you to learn how to play guitar? I am double jointed and my fingers always bent on the end of each fingers, making it very difficult for me to place my fingers on the strings. every time when I tried to place my fingers on the fret, my fingers will sort of snap into a weird shape and position. So, I'm just wondering if there is any double jointed guitarist out there?

I've never heard of that problem....but I suppose you could make sure you are pressing down on the strings at the right finger angle.

    like this:

you will want to arch your fingers so that you come straight down as much as you can instead pressing down like the guy in this picture:

Also check your string height and your string gauge.

Perhaps if you get the lightest gauge strings available and make sure the action on your guitar is as low as you can get it, it might take less pressure for you to press down and prevent the problem you are having.

    Maybe that will help.
