Can a girl get an STD from having anal sex?
I mean, isn't the intestines extremely dirty and full of bacteria? Isn't the whole point of them to transport all the feces and other things that could cause sickness safely out of the body? If so, how would you get an STD in from them? Sorry if this is a stupid question, but this was never covered in Sex-ed.
@Jeff B The mouth and intestines are different. The mouth can absorb fluids and such, while the intestines are made purposely to keep everything INSIDE THEM, including bacteria, which is why it's a huge problem is you get a hole in them.
@Jack Walsh when I last checked, you get nutrients from your stomach. Also, you sound like you're basing it completely on the rectal tissue tearing, which doesn't necessarily happen.

Your intestines absorb stuff. How do you think nutrients from your food make it into your body? Have you not heard of people dying from alcohol enemas? the alcohol is absorbed directly into the blood stream bypassing the liver and causing alcohol poisoning. Yes, you can get an STD from anal sex. Anal sex can cause tears in your rectal tissue that allow infectious agents to enter you body.

Yes, you can get an STD from having anal sex because your intestines/colon/anal canal are lined with mucous membranes, which is also what lines your vagina and your mouth. When you have anal sex, you can easily tear the mucous membranes and allow HIV and HPV to enter your bloodstream. You don't even need to tear the lining, as HIV and HPV can travel through it (especially if the man c**s inside of you).
As STDs are associated with sexual organs, if a man is infected with an STD (except an STD of the mouth), he can pass it on to you through anal sex in the way that he can pass it on to you through vaginal sex.
Also, your intestines do absorb nutrients - you get nutrients from all along your digestive track, starting in your mouth and ending in your anus. What is absorbed differs along the way. For instance, if you have to do a #2 but hold it in for several hours, your #2 is firm and has less water - this is because water is absorbed in your intestines.

This is mode biology/anatomy question. A girl can get std even from oral sex when she gets fluid from a guy in her body. STD's have independent life and can live anywhere.
