Catholics: is eating the wafer and drinking the wine cannibalism?

The Catholic doctrine of transubstantiation is that the wafer and wine aren't just representative of Jesus' flesh and blood, but that they're literally his flesh and blood in a very real sense. So isn't drinking his blood and eating his flesh cannibalism?

It's not cannibalism, it's a special case. It's also nonsense like every other practice in every other religion.

Ritual symbolic cannibalism is practiced through almost each and every branch of christianity, yet catholics declare to believe in 'transubstantiation', meaning that the wafer/wine grow to be the definitely physique and blood of jesus while they are ate up.

In bread and wine offered up during Mass, the bread and wine initially have both the substance and form of bread and wine. When transubstantiation takes place, the substance of the bread and wine are changed to that of the body and blood of Christ. The form, however, remains that of bread and wine.

Cannibals are people who eat human meat which come from dead bodies. As such, they eat the form, but not the substance. Cannibals do not eat humans (both substance and form). They only eat the meat, which is the form. As such, they are not really eating the person, just human meat.

Catholics who eat the body and blood of Christ are eating the substance of Christ, but in the form of bread and wine. As Catholics do not eat human meat, they therefore are not cannibals. But they can, however eat the substance of Christ. So they do, in fact, eat Christ. They eat the substance of Christ, but in the form of bread and wine.

When we consume meat, we make the meat part of ourselves. The meat is changed inside our bodies where it is digested and absorbed into the human body as nutrients, and this keeps us alive.

When we consume the body of Christ, we make Christ part of ourselves. Christ too is absorbed into our soul as nutrients, and this keeps us alive.

For Jesus said, “If you do not eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and drink his blood, you will not have life in you.” (John 6:53) and again: “He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me and I in him” (John 6:56).

    It's not cannibalism.

    1. Cannibalism is eating the DEAD flesh of a DEAD human being (usually one's enemy).

    2. The Eucharist is the LIVING Body and Blood of our LIVING Savior, which He provides for us through the miracle of transubstantiation.

Well obviously you don't understand the doctrine of transubstantiation. Jesus during the Last Supper taken bead made by human hands and the cup filled with wine blessed them and gave them to the Apostles and told them to eat of the bread and drink of the cup for these are His Body which would be given up for them His Blood which would be shed for the forgiveness of sin. He was being literal and when He entered into His Glory (death & resurrection) as He had instructed the Apostles to do this in memory of Him they done just that. The Apostles are the first Bishops in which they had successors and under the authority of Bishops their Priests in memory of Jesus blesses the bread made by human hands and the cup filled with wine/water as from the cross when Jesus' side was pierced by the lance spilled forth blood and water. The Liturgy of the Holy Eucharist is a reenactment of the Last Supper of Jesus with the Apostles. The Father sends the Holy Spirit from Heaven and the host being the bread & wine/water is filled with the essence of God in which it becomes the Body & Blood of Jesus, this isn't any different than how Jesus was conceived inside of His Mother's womb. There was only one sacrifice made by Jesus the Holy Eucharist is of that sacrifice. Because the host is bread made of human hands and wine/water it's a bloodless sacrifice. When Christians go up to receive the Holy Eucharist during communion what they are taking within themselves is the essence of God. This is also why St. Paul had informed the church of Corinith that by being in mortal sin and partaking of the Holy Eucharist they had placed themselves under God's judgment, the Holy Eucharist is not symbolic it's literal.

Even though you are Anti-Catholic I just made you look like an idiot by revealing the truth of the Holy Eucharist which was instituted by Jesus Himself.

It is symbolic cannibalism as it is meant, as all cannibalism is, to acquire desired traits or to associate in some mythical means with one who has been vanquished.

    Think about it!
