What do you think about girls that earn more than their boyfriends/ husband?

It's pretty common with people my age.

I earn a slightly better than middle class income, but not by much. I have dated women who earn more than I do. I have dated one who earned A LOT more than I do.

You can feel whatever you want, but your feelings are just that. Illogical emotions. If you have a family it will probably be the case that both parents will have to work. If only one can, the parent who can earn the most money should.

A lot of people will tell you they have no problem with this but the fact is women who earn more than their husbands have the highest divorce rates. So I would ignore what everyone says and just look at the cold hard facts. Fact #1 - Women marry up. Fact #2 - Women divorce men that make less. Anyone who says otherwise is full of crap. Don't date or marry anyone that makes more than you do.

My girlfriend earns more than me. Pays for dinner a lot. I told her when we met two things. If she thought i was a player, just move on, that aint me, and if thats why you are interested you are wasting your time. Some girls like they competition.

And two that I don't have a lot of extra money. I pay my bills and barely have my head above water now. I'm on a budget so i don't have the money to go out to the movies, eat, and do things on a daily basis.

Its not wrong to think like you think. But i have 3 part time jobs that don't pay much. I'm trying to find a new job weekdays. But nothing. My girlfriend understands.

I don't really care if a gf or wife makes more than I do. I'd be concerned about how she feels about it. A lot of women don't like it if they make more than their bf, and often times come to resent their bf or husband because he makes less, gets to stay home more and be with the kids and have a less stressful life. A lot of women would rather be the one, that works less, stays home with the kids more, while her husband/bf works and provides.

you may not have a problem with it, but i can guarantee she WILL. chicks only date up, not down. once a chick starts earning more than the dude, she'll be packing her bags and moving on. a chick expects her partner to pull much more than his weight, not less. if you're bringing in less cash than her, you become an anchor around her neck holding her back and she'll be quick to cut you loose.

I have no problem with earning more than him - I would have a problem if he earned nothing and stayed home all day playing video games, though.

Well My wife earns twice my salary and it doesn't bother me in the slightest. LOL

I'm quite happy to be in such a relationship as my g/f is modest about her assets and her pay

If she made enough that I didn't have to work, I would love it.

If we both had to work and she made more than me, it still wouldn't bother me.
