What do the Irish think of regular Americans?

Question

I'm born and raised american but I would like to know what you were to think of me if I were to meet an you (an Irish raised person). I have no ties to Ireland at all but do have some Scot in me. Just curious in all the sense. I would like to know how people think of me in case I decide on visiting.

I wouldn't take the advice off people on this forum, some of the users here are very forthright, bigoted and condescending I find.

Americans are known to be ultra friendly, but again theres no real general attitude towards americans here. I think Americans as a whole have more opinions on countries as a nation due to the fact you celebrate other countries national days as you embrace how their culture has influenced yours through successive immigrants, hence with St Paddys day parades etc

Nobody "knows" anybody until they meet them do they so how can anyone possible know what they will think of you if they haven't met you? Tens of thousands of Americans visit Ireland every year & have a great time here, there is no reason to suspect you won't either. What a strange question.

Rugby fan is correct. Some people on this section are ridiculous. In fact many !
To be honest their perceptionisf that of Irish Americans. A regular American would be a unknown for them.

I couldn't say untill I would meet you face to face.  No problem with anybody from any country on a one to one basis people are people.
